[NEWS] f(x) to Release a Special Japanese Album ‘SUMMER SPECIAL Pinocchio/Hot Summer’ in July

According to f(x)’s Japanese homepage on the 28th, their first Japanese package album ‘SUMMER SPECIAL Pinocchio/Hot Summer’ will be released on July 22nd.

This album contains f(x)’s representative hit songs ‘Pinocchio’ and ‘Hot Summer’ in Japanese, with no other new songs. However, the DVD contains the Japanese version music videos of both songs. As the ‘Pinocchio’ Japanese music video will be revealed for the first time, it has caught the eyes of fans.

f(x) is a 5 member group formed of Victoria, Amber, Luna, Sulli and Krystal. They debuted in 2009. Mainly active in the summer, ‘Pinocchio’ and ‘Hot Summer’ received a hot response back in 2011.

[NEWS] f(x)’s Luna Reveals Her Family Was Critical of Her “King of Mask Singer” Performances

While the public was blown away by f(x) member Luna‘s outstanding vocals on “King of Mask Singer,” her family seems to think there is room for improvement.

Luna was a guest on the May 26 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s “Two O’Clock Date, I’m Park Kyung Lim” to talk about her “King of Mask Singer” experience and overall singing career.

During the radio show, she revealed that musical talent runs in the family, but she is the only one to pursue a career in pop music. “Everyone in my family is a classical musician except for me.”

“My father is a conductor, my mother and older sister are vocalists, and my older brother is a composer,” she explained, and went on to say, “I have the weakest voice of our family.”

“As all of my family members are professional musicians, they gave constructive criticism on my tone or breathing instead of giving me compliments,” Luna finally revealed how her family reacted to her performances on “King of Mask Singer.”

f(x)’s Luna shows her close friendship with IU.

In the upcoming episode of MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ on May 27th, Luna, Kahi, BTOB’s Sungjae, Kim Hyung Suk will make their guest appearance and share their stories ‘King of Mask Singer’.

To Luna, who has gained much attention after revealing her identity as the ‘Gold Lacquer’ on the show, Kim Gu Ra asked,”Who was the first one to contact you after that?”, to this she answered,”IU was the first one to contact me”.

She continued,”Even when my identity wasn’t even revealed yet, she texted me,’Gold Lacquer Luna, your singing has been improved a lot?'”.

In particular, Luna shared that Lee Soo Man also sent her a congratulatory message, which made Super Junior’s Kyuhyun envy upon hearing it.

This episode of ‘Radio Star’ will go on air on May 27th at 11:15PM KST.

f(x)’s Victoria likely to star alongside Shu Qi and Feng Shaofeng in upcoming Chinese remake of ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’.

A rep of SM Entertainment said on May 21st,”Victoria has been offered to star in ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ Chinese remake and is considering it positively”.

‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ is originally a 1997 American romantic comedy film starring Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz. Alexi Tan will be directing the Chinese version and it’s scheduled to premiere on Valentine’s Day next year.

Three incredibly talented “King of Mask Singer” contestants will be appearing on MBC’s leading talk show “Radio Star.”

According to industry insiders, f(x)‘s Luna, Kahi, BTOB‘s Yook Sungjae, and composer Kim Hyung Suk joined the MCs in filming the upcoming “King of Mask Singer” special on May 20.

Over the past few weeks, MBC’s singing variety show “King of Mask Singer” has garnered massive attention for showcasing the impeccable singing skills of underrated idols including Yook Sungjae, Kahi, and particularly Luna, who was crowned the winner for two consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, Kim Hyung Suk will join the panel as a music industry expert.

This episode will air on May 27.

[NEWS] Luna&Amber to perform at ‘Ultra Korea 2015’

f(x) members Luna and Amber are landing gigs here and there and both are announced to be attending the upcoming music festival ‘Ultra Korea 2015’ in June.

According to the festival’s organizer, Luna and Amber are among the recently announced line-up of performers of the 4th batch along with other international performers from 10 countries and they are going to sing the theme song of the festival.

Among the top and main performers are David Getta, Alesso, Skrillex, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Justin Oh, and more. The big event will be packed with various special live stages from singers of diverse genres across the globe.

This year’s ‘Ultra Korea 2015’ is happening on June 12&13 at Olympic Stadium and is expected to draw 20,000 audience.

Girl group f(x) member Luna has been casted for the children movie ‘Thunderman’s Secret’

On the 8th, an official revealed, “Luna has been casted as the female lead for movie ‘Thunderman’s Secret’. The shooting has recently started.”

One official explained, “As ‘Thunderman’s Secret’ is a musical movie renown for the great singing abilities it requires, we have casted Luna who has experience with musical stages.” Luna has starred in musicals ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘Coyote Ugly’ and ‘High School Musical’ as well as, recently, web drama ‘Jumping Girl’ receiving much attention for her acting skills.

‘Thunderman’s Secret’ is a production concentrated on the main character of EBS ‘Gather Ding Dong Daeng’, Thunderman. It’s expected to premiere in the second half of the year.

‘Thunderman’ presents the imaginary world of Joyland, making it in the kids’ eyes as another version of ‘The Avengers’. It has brought fans not just from broadcast but from various places.

f(x) just might be returning to the music scene as a whole group in the near future!

f(x) member Luna has fans waiting on the edge of their seats in anticipation for the group to make a comeback as five members once again, after hinting at the possibility in the comments section of her Instagram.

On the video post that Luna uploaded onto her personal Instagram on May 6, she left a comment that reads, “All of f(x) should come out soon, as a complete group bbuang~~><.”

Fans have been expressing their excitement at the repetition of ‘all of us’ and ‘complete group’ in Luna’s comment, as there has been much discussion amongst fans as to whether or not Sulli will be rejoining the group for future promotions since officially going on hiatus in July of last year.

The truth has been revealed regarding girl group f(x) member Sulli’s absence from the group’s bingsu ad shooting.

f(x) had recently filmed a summer season bingsu ad for ice cream brand Baskin Robbins. In addition, f(x) is planned to release a ‘Bingsu Song’ beside being models for the brand.

Previously, member Victoria revealed videos of the ad shooting on Instagram. However, Sulii can not be seen among the members.

SM Entertainment responded, “Sulli didn’t participate in the f(x) ice cream CF as she didn’t sign the contract due to her still being on break”.

Last July, Sulli took a break from her activities due to emotional pain from malicious comments.

[NEWS] Amber responds to TMZ’s racist coverage of EXID’s U.S. arrival

On May 2nd, a video of TMZ‘s racist segment on EXID’s arrival to LAX was revealed and f(x)’s Amber has taken to Twitter to express her discontent with the clip.

Amber, who grew up near Los Angeles, tweeted, “I was gunna stay quiet but i cant. Seriously, @tmz not cool man. All Americans face palm at your rude and childish actions.”

Her response comes only hours after the culturally ignorant clip was released on Youtube and follows massive amounts of netizen criticism from international fans. Some have even called TMZ the reason why people hate Americans with its “I make no apologies for what I say” attitude.

Fans are outraged at the blatant racism that appeared in the clip when a TMZ member covered EXID’s arrival at LAX accusing them of not being able to speak English well and even mocking Junghwa‘s English with no apologies.
